Tormeks Edge Marker is a permanent high-quality marker with a chisel tip. That makes it easy to colour the bevel when you want to find and repeat an existing edge angle of your knife. This makes the sharpening faster and you don't remove more steel than necessary – and your knives lasts longer.

Find the edge angle with the Tormek marker method

Here's how to use the marker to set your sharpening to the existing angle of the blade:

Color the bevel, insert your knife into the guide and adjust the angle so the whole bevel touches the grinding wheel.
With the machine off, turn the grinding wheel manually. Check where the coloring has been removed.
Adjust the angle and repeat until the coloring is removed on the whole bevel. Now the angle is right and it's time to start sharpening!
